Roller bearings with increased load capacity and service life.
In roller bearings, the rolling elements — the rollers — have a larger contact area with the ring, so they carry and transmit higher loads than ball bearings while maintaining consistently high efficiency.
UkrTehAvia has experience manufacturing rolling elements for this bearing type. A process for producing crowned (barrel-profile) rollers has been developed and implemented, achieving a rolling-element dimensional accuracy of 0.0005 mm.
Worth noting separately is the single-row cylindrical roller bearing: the rings have flanges against which the rollers bear, allowing significant axial load capacity — in some cases up to 30–40% of the radial load.
